When i import the database that i do with this code

`date` varchar(255) NOT NULL DEFAULT ”,
PRIMARY KEY (`id`)
) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 AUTO_INCREMENT=31

Appear this: ”MySQL returned an empty result set (i.e. zero rows). (Query took 0.0209 sec)”
and i can’t continue to load this database

Hey Barret, i use XAMPP server to php.
With the files i download from here, i have to create de database and table ?
‘Cause i put to share a status and appear “could not connect to mysql” ,
What can i do?

That’s s a great function that can be used in the commenting system for any website (for example, comment was written 20 minutes ago)…

Thanks for the input. I thought of that while making the tutorial. But decided to keep it basic. Just trying to show you how it’s done. I’m not here to teach basic security. There are plenty of tutorials on that all over the web for that. Thanks again

I hope you see the huge security problem with this code…
Calling a GET param blindly as a function will kick your butt pretty soon…
Even though it’s a basic tutorial, just showing how to do something like that, you should’ve added at least a little bit security

Great tutorial, however I get the below error message:

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ”status, date’) VALUES (‘ bbb’,'Dec 31 at 9:49 pm’)’ at line 1

Any ideas?
